Information We Collect

Documents You Upload

When you upload a tax document for redaction, we temporarily store the file to process it. Our AI analyzes the document to identify sensitive information. We do not retain, sell, or share the contents of your documents with any third parties.

Email Address

We collect your email address to deliver your redacted document. We may also use it to send you service-related communications. We do not sell your email address to third parties.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. We never receive, store, or have access to your full credit card number.

How We Use Your Information

• To process and redact your uploaded documents
• To deliver your redacted documents via email
• To process payments for our services
• To respond to customer support inquiries
• To improve our AI detection capabilities (using anonymized, aggregated data only)

Data Retention & Deletion

Automatic Deletion: Both your original uploaded documents and the redacted versions are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers within 48 hours of processing. This is a core security feature of our service.

Transaction Records: We retain basic transaction records (job ID, email, timestamp, payment status) for accounting and customer support purposes, but these records do not contain the content of your documents.

Security Measures

• Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted to and from our service uses TLS 1.3 encryption
• Encryption at Rest: Uploaded files are encrypted using AES-256 encryption
• True Redaction: We use true PDF redaction technology that permanently removes text from documents, not just visual overlays
• Access Controls: Employee access to systems is strictly limited and logged

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Stripe: Payment processing (PCI DSS Level 1 compliant)
• Amazon Web Services: Cloud infrastructure and email delivery
• OpenAI: AI-powered document analysis (text only, no images or full documents are sent)
